Our
Findings Of
Air Quality Monitoring
|
CLEAN-Delhi
The air quality
findings for Delhi, Noida and Gurgaon are given below: |
Air monitoring is
been undertaken by members of CLEAN-Delhi on regular basis and
the results are alarming even in residential areas. In the year 2001 the
widespread shift to CNG fuel has reduced levels of sulphur dioxide but
nitrogen oxides still hangs in the air. The major
pollutant remains dust particles which are monitored as the
Respirable Particulate Matter (RSPM) i.e. the dust particles
which we can inhale.
