Second CLEAN-India MEET, 1999

What a grand event it was!! The second CLEAN
Annual Meet was held on 29 January 1999 at Vishwa Yuvak Kendra,
New Delhi.
The meet witnessed the participation of 300 young
budding environmentalists representing the three CLEAN Centres
at New Delhi, Shillong and Faizabad. New friends were made, new
ideas were generated and exchanged, new resolutions were
formulated and new challenges were taken up.

of the MEET were: -

The Best CLEAN school
of the year gets the
CLEAN Trophy !!

- Presentations on the state of environment.
- Songs, poems and skits on various environmental themes.
- Puppet show on the plight of Mother Earth.
- Experiences of children who attended the Conference in
Nairobi.
The grand finale was the presentation of
Development Alternatives’ Rolling Trophy for the Best School
showing maximum participation in CLEAN activities to Delhi
Public School, Noida. A "special effort award" was
given to Darbari Lal Dayanand Adarsh Vidyalaya, Pitampura for
holding a CLEAN Mela at the school level.
